We are a small animal practice in Reading, first established as part of the Nine Mile Veterinary Group set up in 1985. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care. For your added convenience, there’s free parking for clients at our surgeries.
Claire has been at Animed since 1980 and most of our clients will remember her from her days on the reception desk. She now takes care of all the day to day running of the practice and makes sure that the vets follow her instructions to the letter! At home Claire has a feisty ginger female cat called Sookie.
Mary has been at Animed since 2007, she is critical in ensuring our finances run smoothly. She has always been involved with animals but currently has a vacancy for a new pet! She enjoys sunny holidays and spending time with her grandchildren.
Vicky joined us in 2002 when we opened our Beltinge branch. She is a familiar face on the reception desk for our Beltinge clients and is a key member of the support team. She has three German Shepherd dogs who can often be seen helping out behind the reception desk.
Branch Manager Beltinge
Cassie has been at Animed Veterinary Centre since 2002, she joined when we opened our branch in Beltinge and she has been here ever since. She has a huge menagerie of chickens, sheep, ponies, cats and her two Chihuahuas, Dobby and Rita.
Head Receptionist Whitstable
Anita has been at Animed since June 2007, she has always loved animals especially dogs and has two of her own called Sadie and Harry. Anita runs our reception at Whitstable to a very high standard and enjoys the challenge. Her main interests out of work are walking her dogs, meeting up with friends and reading.
Dawn has been at Animed Veterinary Centre since 2013. She has her work cut out at home with two children, two Guinea pigs, a cat and a very bouncy new addition – a Springer Spaniel called Bonny.
Alison has been our receptionist since 2007 when she moved to Whitstable from London. She currently has two cats and Bert the Shih Tzu who is often seen front of house on the reception desk, meeting and greeting clients!
Receptionist and Nursing Assistant Whitstable
Emma has been with us for just over a year, she is a bubbly member of our front of house team, probably as a result of her keen interest in amateur dramatics outside work.
Bob the Office Pom
Bob the office Pomeranian is often seen around the practice. He spends every day in the office, escaping only to help with hoovering any stray scraps of food from the floors! If you’re ever feeling down then Bob is sure to help with a cuddle and a lick!
